Alive2green Education

Alive2green currently offers certain industry focused education products for the Green Building sector and has plans to bring on board other products and sectors in due course. Education products consist of Learning Modules, Certificate Courses and Diploma Courses and new sectors will include Transport, Water, Energy and Waste.  The education products are offered online and are managed via an online learning tool.

The current products consist of 5 individual Learning Modules in Eco-Building which are linked with (and utilise) Volume 1 of the Green Building Handbook and the Certificate in Eco-Building which is issued to learners who register for the Certificate course and complete and pass Modules 1 through 5.

New products to be launched soon are an additional 5 Learning Modules in Eco-Building which are based on Volume 2 of the Green Building Handbook, the associated Volume 2 Certificate Course for learners who complete and pass Modules 6 through 10 (both launching in August 2010), and the Diploma in Eco-Building which essentially combines the two Certificate Courses with an additional supervised online examination (Diploma launch date to be announced soon)

The Eco-Building Learning Module, Certificate and Diploma Course content has been developed by Professor Andre de Villiers (University of Pretoria) with the assistance of Llewellyn van Wyk (CSIR). Van Wyk is also the Editor of the Green Building Handbook Series.

Individual Eco-Building Learning Modules have been assessed by SACAP and CPD validated for 1 x Half-Credit (Category 1)

How to Register and Study with Alive2green Education

Step 1: Identify your preferred Module or Course from those that are currently available (below).
Step 2: Download the Instruction Page for that course by clicking the relevant pdf download link (at the bottom of the page)
Step 3: Read the Instruction Page, Register for the Module or Course and then make payment
Step 4: After payment validation, logon to START eLEARNING and proceed as per Instruction Page
Step 5: Redeem results (automatic), certificate (email) or diploma (email)
